Hello!

I've realised I've had a bit of a hard time keeping up with my blogging on a regular basis, My life seems to toss me some interesting curve balls that take up a lot of my time.

This past april I was in a car accident, A girl was texting and speeding, and rear ended me going 70 km/h, I was hospitalised and still after 7 months I can't function too well, There's nerve damage in my spine and I'm not too mobile.
It's been a huge change for me, I was working two jobs, and trying to open my online store as my last entry was talking about, but I've been put on medical leave from both jobs and my store has been put on hold.

BUT I think now that I have this free time, I want to try my hand at blogging once again, and maybe be inspired to take a second go at Pinny Cushions.

My sewing machine is in the shop right now, so within the next two weeks I'll be able to start some new projects, and finsih some old ones which I'll show you all on here!

Dear Bloggers, I'm exhausted!
I have been cleaning out every nook and cranny in my house, getting excitedly ready for filling every inch back up with Christmas goodies! I am finalizing any crafts I need to do for the holidays, and it feels great, Also on another good note it turns out I'm not working this Wednesday, and Thursday, so my best friend Maggie is comming over for her weekly sewing lesson which is always so much fun, Once I get the hang of my Camera, I'll post some pictures of my latest crafts.

Mission accomplished

Life has been crazy wonderful lately, and with Christmas actually in sight I have been so motivated, which is nice for a change, and it seems like as winter sets in, everyone is taking this opportunity to relax and recharge, not me! hahaha

I have picked out my store name, it's Pinny Cushions, the name came from my wonderful boyfriend telling me a story about a girl name Pinny, Pinny cushions, who lived my dream life, Owning a quaint little store, filled with all hand sewn quilts, and filled from floor to roof with vintage children's books, where kids would come to snuggle up with handmade goodies, and read, and we'd have fresh baked cupcakes, and it'd all be overly cute and I seriously should have been born in the forties.

BUT Until I create a time machine delorian for myself, I'm going to open an Etsy store, filled with all the same things, Minus the children and Cupcakes!

Quilts, and pin cushions, pillows and everything I can teach myself to sew in between, Also lately I've really liked making Jewelry mostly out of scavenged recycled and reused bits of old jewelry, beads and findings.


One of my favorite things in a lot of blogs that I've seen, are Pictures! I completely adore scanning through page upon page of gorgeous pictures, of crafty goodies, Until my photography skills are up to par, Mine will be a mix of Founds and originals,

Because today I'm going to fill it with Christmas movies, Carols and presents, I'll post you some inspiring Christmas pictures

Good morning,

I'm a little dissapointed this morning, we've been planning a day at the beach but it's supposed to be overcast here now, Boo.

Hopefully it clears up, but if it doesn't I know of a lot of sewing that needs to get done!

I have a couple cute ideas of gifts I want to do, Variations of projects I've stumbled across, I'll share a couple here, incase you might like them too.









And with that, I'm off with high hopes to the beach.

Long time no blog

Summer time has been so distracting from trying to start up my blog,
Though not craft related, I'll start with today, which was soo much fun.
A friend of mine owns horses, I used to ride when I was younger but fell out of it and now, I'm really excited about getting back into it. She invited me over and though we didn't get to riding today, I got the chance to be around the horses, walk them around, and become more comfortable and confident with them, which is a bonus in my books!

On a crafty note, I've been making lots of Christmas presents lately! Button Jewelery, Pillows, I've drawn up the ideas for some more, but it's nice to get a bit of a head start on it, while my Christmas in July excitement spurt lasts!

I have been reading Blogs for so long, I'm really excited to start one, and one thing I REEEALLY want to try is a craft swap! So I'm off to go join some Blogs I've been reading for a while.

Dear Rain,
you're supposed to make me motivated to do things inside, to finish projects, but unfortunately you're just making me sleepy, and I've so far wasted my entire day on the couch. I should really get up and go into my freshly cleaned sewing room, and do some sewing..

It's been too long since I've updated this, I've progressed so much since my first few posts, I have the opening of my Etsy store, within my grasps, I've finished all my steps, all I have to do is sew sew sew to stock the store, once I open it.

I found some great deals at Fabricland the other day, so I've been a little preoccupied making a lovely quilt for my sewing room, for the chilly rainy days we seem to be getting so many of lately.

Also I got a new tattoo yesterday! Atleast, the start of it. We accomplished three and a half hours so far, and I'm back again in three weeks.

Well, I'm off to make some dinner, long day of cleaning works up an appetite!
